Huading LW380 Decanter Centrifuge Passion Fruit Juice Centrifugation 15kW Seed Fiber Removal

Passion fruit is a seed heavy, highly acidic stream. Juice released from the pulp carries hard black seeds, slivers of rind and a fine fibrous haze that will not settle in a static tank. The Huading LW380 decanter centrifuge removes all three in one step: seeds and coarse fibre are thrown to the bowl wall and conveyed out as a compact cake, while clarified juice leaves the cylindrical end ready for pasteurisation or concentrate evaporation.

The machine is normally installed after depulping and before fine filtration. Feed of 5 to 10 cubic metres per hour enters the bowl, is spun to 3500 G and separated within a few seconds. Short residence time matters for passion fruit because its aroma volatiles are sensitive to both heat and prolonged exposure to oxygen; a fully enclosed bowl keeps the juice away from air until it reaches the next process stage.

• Seed and fibre removal in one pass: the bowl and scroll combination retains hard seeds and fibrous matter while clarified juice overflows continuously, removing the need for separate screening and settling tanks.
• Acid resistant construction: SS316L contact parts and acid resistant elastomers handle the low pH of passion fruit juice without pitting or seal degradation.
• 3500 G separation: high g-force pulls fine haze particles out of the juice, reducing turbidity before the pasteuriser and cutting fouling on downstream plate heat exchangers.
• Compact footprint: the LW380 fits into existing tropical fruit lines with a 3.1 metre length, so capacity can be raised without a building extension.
• Adjustable pond depth: interchangeable weir plates allow the operator to shift between maximum clarification and maximum solids dryness for different cultivars and ripeness levels.
• Aroma protective enclosure: a fully closed bowl and gas tight casing option limit oxygen pickup and preserve the fresh aroma profile that buyers evaluate in the finished juice.
• Simple wash down: the casing opens without removing the bowl, and integrated nozzles allow a fast rinse between batches or at the end of every shift.

Juice and pulp enter through the feed tube and are accelerated to bowl speed inside the distribution chamber. Under 3500 G the dense seeds and fibre compact against the bowl wall, while the lighter clarified juice forms an inner layer and flows out over the adjustable weir. The scroll, driven through a planetary gearbox at a differential of a few rpm, drags the solids up the conical beach for dewatering and discharges them into a collecting chute. Operators tune clarity and cake dryness through feed rate, differential speed and pond depth.

The LW380 handles passion fruit, maracuya and granadilla juice, but it is equally at home on guava, soursop and citrus pulp wash streams. It is widely used before pasteurisation, before aroma recovery and before evaporation, and in plants producing juice concentrates, nectars, purees and fruit based beverage bases.

The machine ships in a reinforced plywood case with rust preventive coating, desiccant and internal bracing. The bowl is mechanically locked for transport. Delivery includes general arrangement drawings, spare part lists, operation manuals, dynamic balancing certificates and material test reports. Factory acceptance testing on water and on product samples is available on request before shipment.
