Wet rendering and dry rendering processes both benefit from the two phase decanter: cooked slurry from the disintegrator is pumped directly into the machine, where centrifugal force separates the solid protein fraction from the liquid fat and water phase. The screw conveyor discharges the greaves while the liquid phase overflows to the fat polishing and evaporation section. Applications

The LW720 separates cooked greaves from fat in poultry, pork, beef and fish rendering plants, and processes expired food product, butcher waste and catering residues in higher risk material lines. It also dewaters dissolved air flotation sludge and stick water solids in integrated rendering and wastewater facilities.
