Coal preparation plants and mining operations produce enormous quantities of fine coal slurry and tailings that must be dewatered before disposal or recovery. HUADING LW650 coal slurry tailings dewatering decanter centrifuge separator offers a continuous mechanical solution that thickens and dewaters flotation tailings, cyclone underflow and pond cleanout slurry without the polymer hunger and intermittent operation of plate presses. With a 650 mm bowl rotating at up to 3100 rpm and a centrifugal force of 3500 g, the machine captures fine clay particles and coal fines down to micron level, delivering a firm cake that can be stacked, trucked or blended back into saleable product.
Inside the horizontal bowl, the high speed rotation creates a sharp interface between settled solids and clarified liquor. The screw conveyor advances the sediment toward the conical beach where drainage is completed before discharge, while the clarified water flows over adjustable weirs and returns to the washing circuit. The differential speed between bowl and conveyor is regulated by a hydraulic or electric back drive under PLC supervision, allowing the operator to optimize cake dryness against solids throughput in seconds from the touch screen panel. Heavy duty roller bearings, a rigid fabricated frame and vibration isolated feet allow uninterrupted operation in harsh mine site environments.

The LW650 is engineered for coal slurry tailings dewatering in dense medium cyclone plants, jig washeries, flotation concentrators and coal handling terminals. It also dewaters iron ore slimes, gold mine tailings, clay wash water and sand washing effluent in the wider mining and aggregates industry. In underground mines the machine can be installed on a prepared pad close to the settling sump, dramatically reducing the volume of slurry that must be pumped to surface ponds. Operators achieve significant savings in flocculant consumption, pond maintenance and environmental compliance cost while recovering process water that would otherwise be lost with the tailings.
Packaging and Quality AssuranceHUADING manufactures the LW650 under an ISO 9001 quality system and runs a full test program that covers dynamic balancing, overspeed testing, noise and vibration measurement and a 4 hour water load run before dispatch. The machine leaves the factory protected by VCI film and shrink wrap, mounted on its own skid frame that also serves as the lifting and shipping base. Export documentation includes a detailed foundation drawing, piping and instrumentation sketch, electrical schematic, maintenance manual and inspection certificate. A twelve month warranty, engineer assisted commissioning and stocked spare parts for the gearbox, conveyor and bearings ensure the mine operator receives rapid support whenever it is needed.
